On the evening of July 3rd, 2025, a young Christian girl named Adan Sabir, just 18 years old, was abducted at gunpoint from her aunt’s home in Chak No. 126 GB Shahr Wa Na, District Faisalabad.

According to eyewitnesses and the complaint filed by her brother Nashid Masih, the terrifying incident took place around 6:30 PM. A white GLI vehicle and two motorcycles pulled up outside the house. The armed abductors stormed in, shouting threats and demanding the girl be handed over because she had refused to marry the main accused, Ashley, a married man with three children.

Adan’s relatives, including her uncle, aunt, and cousin, were held at gunpoint while Ashley and his associates Wesley and Badal, along with another unidentified armed man, forcibly dragged Adan into the vehicle and sped away, leaving the neighborhood in panic and fear.

An FIR (No. 1252/25) was registered at the local police station. However, the case took a twisted turn when the abductors, who also belong to the Christian community, presented a forged Muslim marriage certificate in an attempt to cover up the abduction and justify their actions.

Adan was soon produced before the court. But what should have been a moment of truth was clouded in silence and fear. In front of the judge, Adan said nothing. Behind that silence, though, was a threat — her captors had warned her that if she didn’t go along with their story, they would harm her brother, Nashid Masih.

With the girl’s apparent compliance, the judge initially ruled in favor of the abductors.
But the family, undeterred and with heavy hearts, challenged the decision in the High Court.

There, a light finally broke through. When Adan was allowed to meet her family, the truth poured out. She told her mother and relatives everything — about the threats, the violence, and the fear that had silenced her in court.

Thanks to this breakthrough, the High Court took action. The judge ordered that the case be reopened, directing Adan to be taken to the Magistrate of Jaranwala for a fresh statement and for the previously dismissed FIR to be reactivated, allowing for the criminal investigation and proper legal proceedings to move forward.
