Christians Under Attack, A Pastor is Shot:
On August 26th, 2023, Islamists vandalized his church, targeting it with slogans, Including ‘Ya Allah Ya Rasool’ (‘O Allah, O Messenger’), and ‘Muhammad is the Last Prophet.’ Subsequently, the Faisalabad Police removed these slogans.
Afterward, local Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan supporters confronted Pastor Vicky. They questioned him about the graffiti removal and issued a threatening statement: ‘We will erase you from the world’
Subsequently, he sustained two gunshot wounds, luckily hitting the right side of his body. Good Samaritans immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors performed surgery on him.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s Troubling Agenda:
This incident in Faisalabad tragically mirrors the recent Jaranwala incident. It is worth noting that Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan appears to be pursuing a disturbing agenda. Their desire is to remove churches and Christians not only from Faisalabad but also from Jaranwala and nearby areas. Such intentions raise serious concerns about the safety and freedom of Christians in these regions.
Attacks on religious institutions and individuals, like Pastor Vicky, highlight the need to protect religious diversity and promote community tolerance. It is a troubling trend that calls for attention from both local and international authorities.
Global Concerns and Calls for Tolerance:
In the face of such adversity, the global community must stand united in condemning acts of violence and discrimination based on religious beliefs. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Pastor Vicky and all those affected by these distressing incidents.
