A Greater Alliance Against Israel: A Biblical Prophecy

A number of countries have recently announced that they will recognize Palestine as a country, including Ireland, Norway, and Spain. This decision comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with Iran and its proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and others, being cited as sources of instability.

The recognition of Palestine by these Western countries is seen by some as potentially legitimizing the actions of Iran’s allies in the region. There are concerns that this could exacerbate existing conflicts and lead to further violence, particularly against Jewish and Christian communities.

Israel, which is solely responsible for defending its citizens from these terrorist groups, is now being pressured into accepting a two-state solution. This would potentially categorize any future attacks on Israel as part of a state-to-state conflict. It is noteworthy how Western countries, such as those recognizing Palestine today, overlook the current reality in Gaza, where Hamas and its supporters wield complete control, while Fatah’s influence is rapidly diminishing. Similarly, Fatah does not maintain full control over the West Bank.

Hamas And Palestine:

In the Palestinian Legislative Council, the Islamic Resistance Movement, known as Hamas, holds 74 seats, while Fatah and other factions hold only 54 seats. In the coming days, with its hostile ideology, Hamas is likely to gain even more power among the Palestinian people. This means that a group declared a terrorist organization by the US and EU will be in control of Palestine. It’s confusing for people to see Western countries both labeling Hamas as a terrorist group and accepting its governance.

A Biblical Prophecy:

On the other hand, many are turning to ancient biblical prophecies for insight. Remarkably, several prophecies from the books of Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Zechariah seem to foreshadow the events unfolding before our eyes. One such prophecy is of the prophet Zechariah who warned that in the end times mentioned in Chapter 12:2-3

“I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”

This prophecy seems to be occurring right before its eyes as Israel faces increasing isolation and condemnation from the international community, with many nations turning a blind eye to the existential threats it faces.

A Call to Prayer:

Ireland, Norway, and Spain’s recognition of Palestine, though symbolic, adds another layer of complexity to an already unstable situation and may influence future negotiations.

As Christians, we must maintain unwavering support for Israel while also praying for the redemption of all individuals, whether they are Jewish or Arab. We should earnestly await the return of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, who holds the key to a lasting solution to this longstanding conflict.
