Dildar Masih and his family were one of another family rescued by our team last month. For over 25 years, Dildar enslaved in the fiery heat of the kiln, driven by a singular purpose: to provide for his daughter, Nadia Bibi, after his beloved wife tragically passed away during childbirth. With courage as his compass, Dildar forged ahead, determined to shield Nadia from life’s harsh realities.

Yet, fate had other plans, and Dildar found himself ensnared in the cruel clutches of debt, a relentless burden weighing heavily on his shoulders. Despite his relentless labor, the shackles of indebtedness only tightened, casting a shadow over his hopes and dreams.

In a bittersweet turn of events, Nadia blossomed into womanhood, and Dildar, in a bid to secure her future, orchestrated her marriage to Jamel Masih, a fellow Christian laboring in the kiln. Their union brought forth joy and the promise of a brighter tomorrow, but fate, ever capricious, had one final blow in store.

Jamel’s diagnosis of advanced blood cancer shattered the fragile semblance of normalcy, plunging the family into a vortex of anguish and despair. Undeterred by adversity, Dildar spared no expense in his desperate quest to save his son-in-law, even if it meant shouldering the burden of further debt.

Tragically, despite his valiant efforts, Jamel succumbed to the ravages of illness, leaving behind a grieving family and shattered dreams. Yet, in the depths of sorrow, a ray of hope emerged as Dildar resolved to raise his grandchildren with unwavering love and resilience.

Amidst the darkness, a ray of light pierced through as our team intervened and rescue the family. With compassion as our compass, we facilitated their transition to a safer haven, offering them shelter, solace, and, most importantly, opportunity.

Once confined by circumstance, Nadia finds herself on the cusp of empowerment, undergoing training in tailoring and stitching. Through skill and determination, she is reclaiming her autonomy, poised to carve a path of independence and self-sufficiency.

Dildar’s journey poignantly reminds us of the human capacity for resilience and renewal and the transformative power of compassion and community. As we stand on the threshold of a new chapter, let us draw inspiration from their story, for in the face of adversity, hope prevails, and brighter horizons await those who dare to dream.

Join us in saving persecuted and enslaved Christians. Together, we can save lives with your help.
