Demonstrations erupted in several eastern Afghan cities a few days after the Taliban took control of the Afghan capital, Kabul. The videos show afghan citizens climbing monuments and replacing the Taliban flag with the Afghan National flag. The Taliban have fired shots to quell the protests.

According to our contact in Afghan, these protests are not necessarily anti-Taliban, but represent the importance of the Afghan national flag .
A similar protest took place in Kabul, where Afghan women led a protest.
