The rally’s slogan echoed through the crowd: “Yesterday Hagia Sophia, today the Umayyad Mosque, tomorrow Al-Aqsa.” This declaration of political motives highlights Turkey’s growing regional ambitions and increasing role in Middle Eastern conflicts.

Additionally, Turkey-backed Islamist groups have taken control of parts of Syria, further solidifying Turkey’s influence in the region. These events focus on Turkey’s geopolitical aspirations, aligning with prophetic themes in the Scriptures.

Ezekiel 38-39: Gog and Magog War The most notable prophetic reference concerning Turkey is found in Ezekiel 38-39, where an alliance of nations comes against Israel in the “latter days.” Gog of the land of Magog leads this coalition and includes names such as Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Beth Togarmah (Ezekiel 38:2-6). These names correspond to ancient regions located in modern-day Turkey.

Meshech and Tubal: Scholars often link these names to central and eastern Turkey areas.

Gomer: Gomer is identified with the ancient Cimmerians, who lived in Asia Minor (Turkey).

Beth Togarmah: This name refers to the region of Armenia and eastern Turkey.

3. Daniel 11: King of the North Daniel 11 outlines a future conflict between the King of the North and the South. Some interpretations suggest that the King of the North represents nations in Asia Minor, which could include Turkey. This geopolitical struggle mirrors modern tensions between Turkey, Israel, and nations of the Middle East, as well as power-seeking Turkey, which is increasing its presence in Middle Eastern countries.

Once Turkey Completely controls Syria, the next will be Jordan and Libya, and right after taking over Egypt, they will attack Israel.
