Christian persecution in Pakistan shows no signs of ending, with women and girls bearing the brunt of the suffering. The country has become an increasingly dangerous place for Christian females.

On Saturday, our team was able to rescue one more Christian girl, aged 20, from her abductors; due to the privacy of the girl, we are changing the name. Kiran Bibi was the elder of her siblings, and her father was a taxi driver living in south Punjab. When she was in 10th grade, her father died in a road accident, which brought the family into a devastating situation.

Kiran and her mother started raising the younger siblings: three sisters and one brother. After her matriculation, she trained to become a midwife. She began working in the nearby small maternity hospital and supporting her siblings so they could study and live better lives.

Abduction And Rescue:

On 16 October 2024, she went to the hospital but did not return home; when the mother contacted the hospital, she was told that she had left after duty. The family contacted the police, and instead of helping the poor woman, they told the mother that she might be your daughter to flee the home and marry someone.

After a few days, police informed the mother that your daughter had converted to Islam and married a Muslim man. However, the mother did not believe in the story. Because she knows that her daughter is a faithful Christian and that she cannot do such a thing, she requested help from the pastor, and Pastor William, who knows us, contacted our team in Pakistan for help.

Initially, we got information from her friend in the hospital. She told us that Kiran was often harassed by Muhammad Yousaf, an electrician in the hospital, and even though he offered her to marry him, he might have abducted her. As the police were siding with the abductors, we took the production orders from the court to produce her before the court. 

On Saturday, 16^th November, police raided the place where Muhammad Yousaf had hidden; Kiran was kept in a locked room. Police rescued the girl along with our team and her mother. Today, the Additional Session Judge in Court asked Kiran if she converted to Islam and married Yousaf; she denied it and said that she was abducted by him and forced to take her to his place, and even she was raped by Muhammad Yousaf. The judge immediately ordered the police to register the FIR against Muhammad Yousaf and Allow Kiran to be returned to the family.

Our team is relocating Kiran and her family to a safer city where she can rebuild her life.
