Faisalabad, Pakistan –
A 15-year-old Christian boy, Sian Sadiq, son of poor laborer Sadiq Masih, was brutally Raped by four Muslim men while working at a local barber shop. The boy, forced into child labor due to the family’s poverty, was Raped by Saqlain Zahoor, Zahir Zahoor, Hasnain, and Ehsan Shahnawaz, who also filmed the crime and threatened to leak the video online if he reported it.

When the boy’s father, Sadiq Masih, confronted the accused, he was beaten and threatened at gunpoint. Despite his immediate attempt to file a police complaint, local authorities initially refused to register the case. Only after pressure from influential Christian leaders was the family able to meet the SSP Faisalabad, who ordered the Medina Town Police Station to take action.

An FIR No. 2862/25 has now been registered, and all four Culprits have been arrested. Police have taken them for DNA and medical examinations, after which they will present the culprits before the Session Court for remand.

Our organization was approached by the local Christian community to ensure legal representation for the victim’s family. We have formally taken the case and will continue to pursue justice in court.

This tragic case once again highlights the alarming rise in sexual violence against minors in Pakistan. Every day, both young girls and boys become victims of such heinous crimes. While government agencies and police have made some efforts to address this crisis, much more must be done to protect vulnerable children and deliver justice without delay.
