Dilawar Bashir

Dilawar Bashir and his family’s story shows how strong people can be, even when facing tough times like slavery. They went from being trapped in slavery to being free, showing that people can overcome big challenges.

Dilawar’s story starts in the harsh reality of a brick kiln in Punjab, Pakistan, where he was trapped in the clutches of servitude at the age of six. Alongside his family, he grew up amidst the oppressive conditions of Slavery, where each day brought forth new challenges and hardships.

Despite the suffocating grip of enslavement, Dilawar dared dream of a better future for his children. He married Farzana, another enslaved worker in the kiln, and together, they became the parents of four children—an elder daughter and three sons. Their desire for education burned brightly within their hearts, a hope amidst the darkness of their existence.

Tortured for Sending School :

However, their pursuit of knowledge was met with fierce opposition from their oppressors. Initially granted permission by the kiln owner to send their children to school, Dilawar and Farzana soon found themselves threatened and harassed when they refused to relent. Their children faced brutal punishment at the hands of their captors, their books torn and dreams shattered with each blow.

He Said while crying: “One day, as my children were returning from school, some men saw them and began to beat them, tearing up their books. They grabbed my son so roughly that his arm dislocated. Then, they turned their violence toward my wife and me.”

The cruelty inflicted upon them only fueled their determination to break free from the chains of oppression. Dilawar and Farzana clung to their faith, offering prayers for deliverance from their miserable plight. And miraculously, their prayers were answered – one fateful day, their cries for liberation were heard, and they were set free from the bonds that had shackled them for so long.

Hope emerged when a mission was launched to rescue enslaved Christians in northeast Punjab, Pakistan. A well-coordinated operation to liberate Dilawar and others from the clutches of slavery. Today, Dilawar and his Family stand as a testament to the power of collective action and compassion. Freed from the chains that once bound them, they embrace a newfound sense of freedom and dignity. They have been provided shelter, employment, and access to education, paving the way for a brighter future.

Continuing the Fight for Freedom:

Yet, their journey towards healing and restoration is far from over. Countless others remain trapped in the grip of modern-day slavery, their voices stifled by oppression and fear. This is a call to action, a plea for solidarity in the fight against injustice.

We urge you to join us in our mission to rescue the persecuted Christians trapped in slavery. Your support, no matter how small, has the power to ignite hope and restore dignity to those who have suffered for far too long. Together, let us break the chains of bondage and usher in a new dawn of freedom for all.
