In 2024, The Emergency Committee to Save the Persecuted and Enslaved (ECSPE) witnessed remarkable milestones, made possible by firm support, fervent prayers, and the generosity of many. We stand in immense gratitude and joy as we reflect on last year’s transformative impact.

Here are the key accomplishments that have brought hope and deliverance to countless lives.

Break The Chains: Rescuing Families from Brick Kiln Slavery

One of the most substantial achievements in 2024 was the rescue and settlement of 392 families, totaling 1,568 people, from the bondage of brick kiln slavery in Pakistan. These families, once trapped in cycles of debt and forced labor, were given new beginnings through our (ECSPE’s) intervention.

Upon their rescue, they were provided with secure housing, sustainable employment opportunities, and access to education. This initiative freed them physically and empowered them to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. It stands as a testament to the collective effort, guided by faith, to break the chains of oppression.

RescueHer: Defending the Rights of Vulnerable Girls

ECSPE’s RescueHer initiative achieved another landmark by successfully rescuing 72 Christian and 8 Muslim girls who had been abducted, forcibly converted to Islam, and married to much older men. These cases emphasize the acute vulnerability faced by religious minority communities in Pakistan.

These girls were safely returned to their families through legal intervention, advocacy, and collaboration with the local team. ECSPE remains steadfast in its mission to protect the dignity and rights of vulnerable Christians, defending them from exploitation and restoring their freedom.

Word of Hope: Spreading the Gospel and Transforming Lives

The ECSPE evangelical outreach, Word of Hope, bears spiritual fruit across Pakistan. In 2024, through tireless evangelism and God’s grace, 20 People from the Muslim community came to faith in Jesus Christ. This spiritual harvest echoes the transformative power of the Gospel and the mission to extend God’s kingdom.

As the Scripture affirms, “I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent” (Luke 15:7).

We celebrate this acute victory and the eternal hope it brings to those who have embraced Christ.

Rescue and Revive: Relocation and Rehabilitation of Persecuted Families

In our ongoing mission to rescue and revive persecuted families, ECSPE successfully relocated more than 30 families to safety. Three families were resettled in Southeast Asia, while the others found refuge in different parts of Pakistan. Each family carries a unique story of deliverance, reflecting God’s mercy and provision.

Through legal assistance, shelter, and vocational training, these families are now able to live free from the oppression they once faced. Their journeys of revival are a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the boundless compassion of Christ.
