The World is Silent on the issue of Slavery, even the countries where these oppressed and marginalized people are living are unable to abolish this inhumane system.
Millions of people in the world are forced to live a life of slaves in this modern era. It is not much has ever been under to Abolish Slavery, every passing year the number of slaves is increasing. Different organizations of the world have different statics The UN stated that there are 40.3 Million Slaves, and according to the Gallup Survey, there are 45.8 Million slaves. Though it is difficult to estimate the extracted number of this hidden Crime against humanity. Half of this modern-day slavery exists in Asia where around 25 million people are forced to workday and night without been paid. The money they received from the owner ends up adding in their loans/debts which never come to an end.
80% of Modern-Day Slaves are in the Labour industry, while 20 % are forced into the sex industry. More than 60% of Modern-Day Slaves are women and children. Many of people in the world might find it hard to believe that Slavery is still brutal and inhuman today as it was in the Past.
What is Chattel Slavery?
A Chattel Slavery is an enslaved person who is owned forever by the second party, even his Children and their Children are enslaved and forced to work according to the wish of their master. These people are treated as property and without any wages they are bound to work.
In the last four years, Mr. Davies and his associates have liberated and rescued more than 30,000 people from the slavery in Pakistan. Pakistan, which holds the 3rd rank worldwide in Slavery, is one of the most abusive lands for Child labour as well. Most of these Slaves were forced to work in brick kilns, Cultivation, and in factories.
