If you’re inclined to dismiss this as just art, ask yourself: why does it seem that Christianity is often the target of such portrayals? Have you ever witnessed an officially sanctioned international event mock Islam? Let’s be honest; we all know the backlash that would ensue. So why is it considered acceptable to target Christians? The time has come for all, regardless of faith, to stand up and demand that Christianity be shown the same respect as every other religion.

France, once known as the “eldest daughter of the Church,” home to great saints like Thomas Aquinas and Vincent de Paul, and a country that sent Catholic missionaries across the globe, now appears to have chosen to mock the very faith that shaped much of its history.
